Hired an Orbea Orca 2023 Tiagra for 4 days. Fortunately got an extra day due to my booking starting on a bank holiday. The shop team were friendly and helpful with bike setup. I didn't get any advice on what to do if had a mechanical that could not be fixed on the roadside, so assume no rescue service like many provide.
My bike's chain had not been lubed, the tyres were very worn (the rear especially) and the gears were slipping with the front in the top ring. I dropped in after a day to get the chain lube and again later to get the rear mech fixed. Wished I'd gone back sooner about the gears as they did a good job on them and transformed my last ride.
I'd probably use again if I returned to the area as they were very convenient to the three valleys Campsite where I stayed and a friendly helpful team. I just think I got unlucky in low season getting an older bike that probably was in its last legs as a hire bike. I think I was so pleased about the extra free days hire that I let some things go with the bike that I shouldn't have.
